At Quesper AI, we prioritize the privacy and security of the educators who utilize our services. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and safeguard information collected through our Android application, WhatsApp integration, and our website.

1. Information We Collect

To provide exam paper compilation and AI sanitization features, we collect the following categories of information:

Account Registration Data: Account information synced via Google Sign-In (such as name and email address) on Firebase Authentication.
Camera & Textbook Scans: Images of textbook pages or written sheets uploaded by users to compile questions. These are stored on secure Google Cloud Storage buckets.
User-Configured Data: Generated exam papers, metadata selections, chapter configurations, and local credit usage balances stored in Firebase Firestore.

2. How We Process Your Data (Google Cloud Services)

Our application operates using a hybrid edge-cloud architecture powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Reviewers and users can note the following data processing practices:

AI Analysis (Vertex AI): Images of question sheets are processed via the Gemini 2.5 Flash API hosted on Vertex AI to perform optical character recognition (OCR) and layout translation. Uploaded scans are never used for base model training.
Serverless Compute (Google Cloud Run): Web requests and question parsing are handled dynamically by Cloud Run microservices using encrypted channels.
Automatic File Deletion: Any temporary PDFs or Word documents compiled by our engines are stored in Cloud Storage buckets with automatic lifecycle policies that permanently delete files after 24 hours.

3. Data Retention and Security

We apply robust administrative and technical controls to secure your data. Firestore cache indices and profiles are stored under industry-standard GCP encryption rules. All network transfers use HTTPS (TLS 1.3).

If you choose to delete your account, you can do so directly within the Android App profile settings. All linked database documents, cached drafts, and storage files will be deleted permanently from Firebase and GCP.

4. Cookies and Web Identifiers

Our static website does not use tracking cookies. We log standard server requests for diagnostic purposes to ensure Cloud Run microservices scale efficiently.
